"Thank you" Card to Esther M. Zimmer Lederberg

Hans Albert Einstein was a son by marriage to Mileva Marić. Elizabeth Reboz was Hans Albert's second wife, and was a clinical professor of Neurology at the University of California San Francisco, as well as a writer.

The photograph of Albert Einstein was sent specifically to Esther Lederberg from Elizabeth Reboz Einstein. Esther's handwriting may be found (in red) on the bottom of this photograph, which was sent to Esther as a gift. Along with this photograph was a card addressed to Esther. The card may also be seen below.

This card was a response to a condolence card sent by Esther Lederberg to Elizabeth Roboz Einstein at the time that Hans Albert Einstein died (July 26, 1973).

Obviously, these two women had corresponded previously and felt a friendship towards each other.
